Ashley Fox MP has announced the winners of this year’s Independent Shop Awards, celebrating the outstanding independent businesses across the Bridgwater constituency.
The awards were launched to recognise the vital role local shops and services play in our communities, with residents invited to nominate and vote for their favourites across a range of categories. More than 1,000 votes were cast highlighting just how valued our independent traders are by the communities they serve.
The 2026 winners are:
- Beauty, Pampering, and Wellness – Prim & Proper, Burnham
- Café – The Bridge Cafe/Restaurant, Bridgwater
- Children & Babies – Baby Bee Crafty, Burnham
- Clothing and Accessories – Collective Dreams, Burnham
- Craft and Hobby – Crafty Collective, Bridgwater
- Farm and Produce – Pyne's of Somerset, North Petherton
- Food and Drink – Maisey’s Bakery, Highbridge
- Garden Goods/Garden Centre - Julias Flowers, Burnham
- Gifts and Stationery – Hurleys, Burnham
- Homeware – Sopha, Highbridge
- Music and Records - West Quay Records, Bridgwater
- Pharmacy – Day Lewis Pharmacy, Berrow
- Surf 'n' Turf (Butcher or Fishmonger) - Seafoods, Burnham
- Tourist Accommodation or Attraction – Admiral Blake Museum, Bridgwater
- Village Shop – Westcroft Eggs & Farm Shop, Berrow
- Other – Books and Puzzles, Burnham
