Bridgwater’s MP, Sir Ashley Fox, has officially opened Vicarage Kitchen – a bold new steak-focused dining experience at The Old Vicarage Hotel.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Tuesday, April 8, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for the much-loved historic venue.
Vicarage Kitchen offers a tailored approach to steak dining, allowing guests to customise their meal by selecting their preferred cut, sides, butter, and sauce. For those who enjoy sharing, generous steak boards are also a highlight.
To reflect the new culinary direction, the dining space of Old Vicarage Hotel has been completely redesigned by local artist and designer Nathan Slate, known for his work with the SL-ATE Concept Store in Bridgwater.
Hotel owners Pete Starling and Candida “Candy” Leaver have drawn inspiration from their own walled gardens, incorporating homegrown herbs and vegetables into the menu for a true garden-to-table experience. While the focus is now firmly on steaks, a few customer favourites from the previous menu have been kept on due to popular demand.
