Ashley Fox, Member of Parliament for Bridgwater, has launched a survey to gather the opinions of local residents on the Government's recent announcement to cut Winter Fuel Payments to pensioners. This announcement has raised concerns about the potential impact on elderly residents who rely on this vital support.
In response, the Conservative Party has submitted an Early Day Motion to challenge the government's decision and demand a full debate on the issue in Parliament. Ashley Fox is keen to ensure that the voices of his constituents are at the forefront of this debate.
"I am deeply concerned about the effect that these cuts will have on pensioners in our community," said Ashley. "It is vital that the views of those affected are fully represented when this issue is discussed in Parliament. That’s why I’m asking residents to share their opinions through this survey."
The survey is open to all residents and Ashley Fox is encouraging as many people as possible to participate. "Your opinion is invaluable," he added. "I urge everyone to take a moment to complete the survey and to share it with friends and family."
