Ashley Fox MP has launched a new constituency-wide bus survey to gather residents’ views on local bus services, including how reliable services are and what improvements are needed.
The survey follows a similar exercise run in January last year and is designed to assess whether residents have seen any improvements since then, and where gaps in provision continue to affect daily journeys. The responses will be used to inform Ashley Fox’s ongoing work with Somerset Council and local bus operators.
Ashley has said that while buses are a vital part of local transport, many residents continue to raise concerns about cancelled services, poor connections, and limited routes, particularly in rural areas.
Speaking about the survey, Ashley Fox said, “I ran a bus survey last year to understand how local services were performing, and I now want to hear directly from residents about where problems remain. Reliable bus services matter for work, education, and staying connected, and this survey will help me put forward the case on behalf of residents when speaking to Somerset Council and bus companies.”
Residents are invited to share their views by completing the bus survey online. To take part, please complete the survey here www.ashleyfox.org.uk/bus-services
