Bridgwater MP Sir Ashley Fox recently met with David Harris-Heffer, a Partner at Vodafone, at his Bridgwater store to hear about the growth of his business and the strong performance of Vodafone in the town.
David runs several Vodafone stores across the Southwest and spoke positively about how the Bridgwater store is trading, highlighting the strength of the local customer base and the importance of a vibrant town centre. David is also an active member of the Bridgwater Town Team, which brings together local businesses and the local authority to promote and support Bridgwater town centre.
During the visit, David and Ashley discussed the recently launched town centre survey being run by Bridgwater Town Council and the Bridgwater Town Team. The survey is designed to gather views from residents and shoppers on their shopping habits, what brings them into Bridgwater, and what changes could help increase footfall and support local businesses.
David Harris-Heffer said, “Our Bridgwater store has gone from strength to strength, and that’s down to the loyalty of local customers and the hard work of our team. Bridgwater has huge potential, and being part of the Town Team means we can work with other businesses to keep improving the town centre and making it an even better place to shop.”
Ashley Fox said, “It was great to meet David and hear how well his Vodafone store is doing in Bridgwater. Local businesses like this are vital to our town centre and to local jobs.
The town centre survey is an important opportunity for residents and shoppers to have their say on what works well and what could be improved. I would strongly encourage as many people as possible to take a few minutes to fill it in and help shape the future of Bridgwater town centre.”
Residents and shoppers are encouraged to take part in the survey and share their views. Complete the survey here
