Sir Ashley Fox MP is inviting residents to his upcoming Senior Citizens Fair taking place on Friday 12th June at St Mary’s Church from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
The event follows a successful fair held in Burnham-on-Sea last November and will once again bring together a wide range of local organisations, charities and businesses offering advice, support, activities and services for older residents and those who care for them.
The fair is free to attend and aims to provide a friendly and informative environment where residents can speak directly with exhibitors, access useful information and enjoy refreshments.
Organisations attending include Age UK Somerset, Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership, Healthwatch Somerset and Mendip Mobility Bridgwater, alongside a number of other local groups and service providers.
Speaking ahead of the event Ashley Fox said:
“Our older residents make a huge contribution to community life and it is important that they can easily access the support, advice, and opportunities available to them locally.
This fair is about bringing organisations together in one place so people can find out what help is available, whether that is around health, wellbeing, mobility, community groups or local services. It is also a good opportunity for people to meet others, have a chat and learn more about the fantastic organisations working across Bridgwater and the wider area.”
